On the web buying and selling continues to grow significantly in the previous 10 years. A share investor ought to start using a specialist to key in the stock options instructions.

Stock~Dartmoor by rubyblossom.

With the US economy still worsening and the stock market up and down like a yo-yo, investing in some American companies is more like playing Russian roulette than traditional investing normally is. With many US companies doing badly though, there are some companies struggling so much, if you're buying stock, you might want to avoid buying stocks in certain companies. Three of the companies, whose stocks you should consider carefully before buying, are Blockbuster, American Eagle Outfitters, and Bebe.

Blockbuster (BLOKA) - Blockbuster video and DVD stores have been failing for years. At one time, one of America's most successful companies, Blockbuster didn't see the writing on the wall when the internet hit big. So, by the time they had realized companies like Netflix were offering a much better deal to consumers than Blockbuster was, Blockbuster had opened too many stores and gone into an over-expansion that soon became their death knell.

Of course, they opened their own rent-a-movie service on the internet but it's never managed to capture the consumer base Netflix has. Now, Blockbuster has announced they're closing almost 550 stores nationwide, this after they closed 340 stores last year, in an effort to get a handle on expenses.

Some investors have bought Blockbuster (BLOKA) stock, but Blockbuster has yet to prove they can make a go of it and, in most reports, look like they're still going down to a possible result of 'out'. In the last five years, returns on investment in Blockbuster stock are down over 98% and they've yet to stay long in the positive column this year.

In fact, Blockbuster was recently delisted from the New York Stock Exchange, as Blockbuster stocks are now 'penny stocks'. As a penny stock, you could make money on day trading or short-term trading on Blockbuster stock, but it's as likely to go down as it is to go up, so be careful. Overall, a stock to avoid.

Bebe (BEBE) - I remember when I moved to LA years ago, how popular Bebe clothing was. With t shirts running $75 and more, the company was raking in the money and their expansion to a sportswear store, PH8, was highly trumpeted. Now, just a few years later, even celebrity sex video girl, Kim Kardashian's designs can't save PH8 stores. Bebe has announced they'll be closing all 48 of their PH8 stores in favor of concentrating on their main brand plus the 2b Bebe stores.

While stock prices are currently up on BEBE stock, that may not last. Kim Kardashian is a done deal, and no other celebrity has yet come forward to try to help Bebe back to its former glory. In the last five years, stocks have fallen 75% and stayed down, so a modest upswing of 5% this month probably won't remain. Consider the possible outcomes carefully before investing in Bebe. Right now, it's looking like a company whose stock you might want to avoid.

American Eagle Outfitters(AEO) - Another US company that couldn't keep up with fashion trends is American Eagle Outfitters. Their big downfall though was in copying the designs of Abercrombie & Fitch, (Abercrombie sued them three times), but copying them at a lower quality and with inferior designs.

American Eagle Outfitters (AEO) stock has had a bumpy ride the last five years with long-term returns on investment in AEO almost always in the negative. This month, they're showing a slight rise so far (8%) but, with their track record, it probably won't last. American Eagle Outfitters just announced they're closing 28 Martin + Osa stores as well as putting the shutters up at their online business. Another company that just isn't understanding the power of the internet.

With long-term investment in American Eagle Outfitters over the last five-plus years being a great way to lose money, be careful if you decide to invest in AEO. As of now, it's one to avoid.

Disclaimer - Of course, any of the recommendations I give to consider certain companies stocks are nothing more than my personal opinion, based on what I see in the stock market at the moment. You should always consult with a certified financial advisor before making investments in the stock market and should check up-to-date returns before making any investment decisions. The ultimate decision to invest in, avoid any stock, or sell any stock lies with you, the investor.

Steps to make your house Wheelchair offered. Effectively one thing to view could be the height you will get.

Ramp Omellete by Plantains & Kimchi

When the time has come to adapt or design your household for wheelchair and scooter access, you'll be happy to learn that dealers offer many different types of scooter and wheelchair ramps. Once you begin your research, however, the options are endless and certainly confusing. Indeed, from portable ramps to fixed ramps, suitcase ramps, wheelchair ramps, track ramps, and more, the possibilities are infinite and each carry a significant advantage and disadvantage.

Where to start? Check out this Basic Primer on Wheelchair, Scooter and Power Chair Ramps for Your Home. Sure to make the decision making a little easier as you adapt or design your home for accessibility to wheelchairs, scooter or other heavy equipment.

Portable vs. Fixed Scooter and Wheelchair Ramps

Before you make your purchase, you'll need to determine whether you want a "portable" or "fixed" ramp. What's the difference between the two? Plenty.

Portable and folding ramps for wheelchairs, scooters, and power chairs are designed for a variety of purposes, like loading into the side door of a passenger van, onto steps or porches, or anywhere else you may need to load. Portable ramp systems are built to fold up and can be carried much like a suitcase and the good ones are designed to separate into two pieces for lighter weight and easy carrying. Portable ramps are designed to help facilitate transfers in multiple locations and presume that the users need something that's rather flexible to account for multiple uses or destinations.

Fixed ramps, on the other hand, are stationary and help the user access barriers like steps and elevations in the home, office or other setting. Threshold and door wheelchair ramps can help facilitate passage over small barriers. Indeed, even a one inch barrier can present difficulties for users of manual and power wheelchairs. Rubber, plastic and aluminum threshold ramps make access easier for everyone in the family.

Another example of a fixed ramp is a pathway ramp. Its extra wide design makes it ideal for persons using electric scooters, walkers, wheelchairs, canes, or crutches in a home setting. Often, a pathway ramp is equipped with railings making it an ideal solution to facilitate access to the home. The best fixed ramps are all-aluminum modular wheelchair ramps. While they can be quite expensive, they're ideal for the home and usually ADA compliant. Some systems can be permanently installed or attached to your home or other structure. These ramps and systems are perfect for long-term and high traffic use.

Wooden Ramps for Home or Business

Wooden ramps are by far the most popular fixed ramp in use in America today. A licensed contractor or certified carpenter or handyman can be hired to assemble or construct a ramp for you and your family. Get several bids before you agree to have the work done on your home.

Do Your Research Before You Buy or Lease

Wheelchair, scooter and power chair ramps and systems can be quite expensive. It's best to consult a professional in advance of investing in a ramp or ramp system, even if it's covered by Medicare, Medicaid, personal insurance or other funds. You want to make sure that the ramp you choose is appropriate for the amount of usage and weight of the equipment you have. You want to make sure the ramp is safe, effective and addresses your personal needs, now and well into the future.

You also want to make sure that you've taken into account several factors, like safety, security, weather conditions, and more. You want to explore how best to assemble the equipment and what to do in case of repair. You want to purchase or lease this equipment through a reputable dealer or provider. By talking with a professional you can get a sense of what's available to you and most appropriate for your home or business at this time.

Where To Purchase?

You can build, buy or lease a ramp. Do your research before making an investment in this equipment. Shop around for deals and discounts. Check online to get a sense of each product and its advantages or downsides. Consult a disability specialist or contractor for ideas on ramps and systems that might be best for you and your family. There are also design specialists who can assist you with making sure the ramp you build or install blends nicely with your home design and landscaping. The Stock Market Crash @ The Conservatory by Joseph Russell

We have all seen the movies where about 1000 guys in suits are screaming "SELL, SELL, SELL" this is how we picture the stock exchange. Well before you go to Wall Street and start screaming and selling your stocks, there is an interactive web based stock market game you can play to gain experience on stock trading. The game is called Virtual Stock Exchange and you can find it on the web at (http://vse.marketwatch.com).

To play Virtual Stock Exchange you must first register on the site, which is quick and easy. Once registered you can choose many options of game play, you can just simply join a game that is already in progress or you can create your own or wait to be invited to a specific game. With all the options it gives the game some flare, you can join with your friends and play a private game and see who has the best trading skills. You also can join a generic game and see if you can beat all the other online players, some of them are pretty crafty and do quite well.

When you start a game depending on which option you choose you are given some start up capitol by Virtual Stock Exchange. You then need to start buying stocks, it's a pretty straight forward process, you type in the stock symbol (or the name of the company you want) and then click on GO. It then brings you to the buying process which has many options that I don't really know much about, Google better watch out because I will find out soon enough what the difference in the pricing types are (Market, Limit, and Stop). Once you purchase your stock then you just have to wait and see if your stock goes up or down. Buy low and sell high is how I have been working my game but I am in fifth place out of ten friends so I don't know if my strategy is working so well.

Other than buying and selling stocks on the game there is a portfolio interface that allows you to see all the stocks you own, what you bought them for, what their current value is, how much you have of the stock, how much gain or loss you have made on the stock, and the equity you are invested in each stock. This game is very addicting I want to beat my friends and it gives me the idea maybe one day I can take on Wall Street, well maybe not since I don't have (10,000,000) in start up capitol the game gives you.

The Virtual Stock Exchange also gives you a research option where you can learn more information about how to trade. It gives you a load of information about different types of trading, what the best trade methods are, what all the extra things are that go with trading like the commission. It is just a fun place to learn about trading stocks.

Overall the web interface is good and easy to use, trading does take some time, and trades don't post for about 15 minutes. Not sure if that is how the real stock market works or not, but that seems like a long time to wait, the stocks continue to fluctuate as you wait for the trade to be made. I have a lot of fun playing this game with my friends and family, it's a good way to kill some time or just to take a break every now and then to see how you are making out in the game. It's very realistic and hard, I have been playing for a month now and have seen minimal gains normally staying just above even. I am not sure how the pros do it but even with my 10 million dollars I have just made a few thousand dollars.

I think this would be a great game for college students studying to be stock brokers. It is tied into the actual market and shows potential real life gains and losses, it would be a good way to get them some experience at no cost. I am sure there are some falsities about the game but if you just want to have some fun and try your luck at the stock market this is the way to do it without risking your life savings.

I used to play an old text based game called Inside Trader on the old Apple II computer and I loved it so I started to find more realistic updated version of the game and The Virtual Stock Exchange seems to be the best. It is very fun and gives you plenty of good information to try out and see if you have the potential to make some money on the market.

Go ahead give The Virtual Stock Market a chance, who knows maybe you will learn enough to go for the real thing. When you are a millionaire remember who got you into the Virtual Stock Exchange!

Chpt5-SecE: How Do I Sell and Collect My Money? by palynp

One of the worst things that can happen when you invest in any company is that you could buy in at a peak and the stock will soon realize a trough. It's not uncommon as we often all watch a stock rise and rise and then buy in just as the temperature on this stock begins cooling. After all, no stock can continue its rise forever. Still, just because a stock is rising doesn't mean that's any reason to not put your money to work when you have it. If this rise to crescendo happens to be when you have bought your stock, consider doubling down. Doubling down is of particular interest for this discussion with penny stock investing; but doubling down works for all types of investing.

What is doubling down? Some cynics call doubling down, "throwing good money after bad." This is because you are basically chasing a position which has lost a significant percentage of its initial value in the hopes that your decision to do this will be validated in the stock prices eventual rise. At least to some kind of a breakeven point.

For example; say you buy in at EFG penny stock when it is trading at $.02. Say you buy 100,000 shares; this would mean that your initial investment is $2000. Now imagine if these same shares went down to $.004. Ouch! That means that these same 100,000 shares are now worth $400.

While the first instinct may be to cut and run, this is not a very profitable way to live; especially if you believe in the product or the company and its future. Instead of running scared you may wish to chart the trades of this stock and once you're confident this trade has reached a bottom, you can buy more and double down your investment.

If this trade has reached its bottom point at $.004, investing another 100,000 shares means that your aggregate investment is $2400; that means that the share price only needs to reach $.012 for you to breakeven. If you can stomach another 200,000 shares at the $.004 share price, then your breakeven point is only $.0093. On and on down the line it goes.

Double down investing really works best for people who have the most time to keep their money active in the markets and reach their goals. What with the recent retracement in blue chip companies, this has presented the buying opportunity of lifetime for many investors. Still, not all of us have that kind of capital to risk; this is why penny stock investing can be a real help for small time investors. While penny stock investing isn't for everyone, the fact is that if you do you research and can tolerate the wild swings, doubling down can help you to strengthen your position, achieve the strike price you've been looking for and at least help you gain back any capital you've lost.

Have Anyone Previously Thought to be Striving Ones Side With Buying and selling Options

earn cash from stock market trade2race by b.tzachi

Many successful professionals are bad traders. While not everybody is cut out for trading, just like not everybody can be a lawyer or an engineer, there are certain traits that, while giving you advantage in your chosen profession, will hurt you in stock trading.

Engineers are often poor traders. Why? They want to measure and understand everything in precise terms. But stock trading is not a science; it does not lend itself to precise measurements. Trading is driven by human emotions. An engineer may develop a precise formula for valuing stocks or measuring charts only to see it shattered by market action because the market may view the exact same ratio, say p/e, as too high or too low, depending on the prevailing sentiment. As a result, engineers often argue with the market for no other reason than because their formula tells them a stock should be doing X while it is doing Y.

Academics

As they say on Wall Street, "don't confuse brains with a bull market." Knowing too much can be detrimental to your stock trading. The market can be irrational and illogical, and is certainly oblivious to your vast knowledge. Oftentimes, you have to act without complete information. While a superb intellect can help you understand what has happened, it may prevent you from acting while something is happening because you will either know better or have to understand first, before acting.

Corporate

Being good at team work and consensus building can also work against you in stock trading. Seeking consensus before buying a stock means polling as many "reliable" sources as possible to make sure that everyone is bullish: multiple five star ratings and strong buys, message boards and CNBC raving... You will definitely have a large "team" on your side but will be too late, buying at the top before a big drop.In stock trading people act first and talk second. Any opinion publicly expressed is already priced in and therefore worthless.

Being skilled at office politics can help you hide mistakes and shift responsibility but the blame game will get you nowhere in stock trading. Blame whomever you want as much as you want - Jim Cramer, your broker, the mysterious MMs - but at the end of the day what matters is your account balance.

This does not mean that if you are a successful engineer or scholar, you shouldn't invest. You just need to be aware that some of the qualities that make you successful in your profession can work against you in stock trading.
